I'm Erin
I'm Erin Murray, the E Murray in EMurray.Art. I'm a queer event and concert photographer based out of central Virginia. I've been observing, documenting, and exploring both film and digital photography since 2014. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and Film in 2022. My senior thesis was a photo book called One Way Ticket, which documented my driving my first car on a cross-country road trip until it broke down.
My work is buoyed forward by my desire to capture authentic, real expressions of humanity: people living through love, joy, and the raw moments that occur during transitional moments. Life unfolds around us when we don’t force things. I thrive following the flashes of emotion, the dynamic moments, and capturing the vibrant personalities of everyone in attendance.
My desire to capture the world as it is is visible through my documentary style. It’s my honor to show up with you in the moment, whatever that moment turns out to look like.
My first exposure to art and its dynamic nature came through music. music and people quickly came into focus as a passion and gift of mine. I live life in the real; Let me capture your big moment.
Travel and being on the road have been fundamental in finding my style and developing my expertise in documentary photography. I love to meet people where they are.
